Come Join our Bible Study

We have completed our  Bible study of the book of Esther. Our group was comprised of some wonderful ladies. Their backgrounds included: teachers, managers, dress designers, accountants, secretaries, fitness director, housewives, technologist, bank tellers, waitresses, real estate agents, a mayor and many more. We learned we were created by God for "a time such as this".

We are working on selecting a study for next month. Let us know if you have suggestions. We also plan to spend part of our time compiling a Chapel Cookbook. The cookbook will be professionally produced using our recipes. Be looking for your favorites to be included. This will become a fund raiser for us. We hope to have the books ready to be sold by Christmas shopping  season.

We are looking forward to meeting friends (old & new) on this new journey into the Word. Please join us!

The Florida ARP Women’s Retreat

Fifteen Chapel ladies had a wonderful time of fun, fellowship and spiritual uplifting at the retreat on March 20 and 21.  A walk around the grounds was very pleasurable as we soaked in the beauty of the lake, trees draped with moss, Cypress trees and the Bok Tower in the distance.  We enjoyed meeting women from ARP churches across Florida.  After the Friday evening session, we laughed and talked around a bonfire.  It was great fun roasting marshmallows and making yummy s’mores.

Our speaker, Jayme MacCullough, was truly an inspiration!  The theme was “Developing Deep Roots for Difficult Days”, A walk with God through Colossians.  There were 3 sessions:

“Digging Deeper into the Treasure of His,"

Colossians 1:15-20

“Digging Deeper into the Treasure of His Word,"

 Colossians 2:8-10

"Digging Deeper into His Treasures within Me,"

 Colossians 2:6-7.

When we focus on Christ and His word and when Christ’s word permeates every area of our lives, then we have a life that is renewed daily, a life that is lived in the spirit.  The Holy Spirit will overflow from us and others will see the peace of Christ that rules in our hearts.

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught and overflowing with thankfulness”.  Colossians 2:6-7

I challenge you to read the book of Colossians and take in all that God has done for us, is doing for us and has given us.  God is so good!

Your sister in Christ,

Sherry Sietsma
